Slumber should be a mesmiring word, Living on a fast lane, good at what you do, whether it is sports, books or just simple been a super mom, and then somethings happens and you completely loose your touch...slumber it is In the hot sun with a wonderful viw of the lake, who leaves that behind.... In a serene, sun scorching, blacksoil of the earth...who turns their back away from that beauty.... In the moments when love strucks, and a baby is blossoming...in the oven...who leaves that behind.... In ways that only the mind of a writer can create, with every click of the computer...who walks aways from all that.... Its called slumber..that moment when the plans dont matter, and ones mind and body goes into a slumber, and you realize the simple things in life, make you happy and cos no money, that is how it feels to have a good view of Lake Victoria.

Something interesting
There has been scary memories, crazy memories, loving memories...and yah yah, sweet ones too....the last ones come with adulthood, when my sister n i started talking about misha, shiro from back in the ghetto....n how they have this kid n that kid....tick tock tick am i getting rusted..... Think not! I have a 2 page bucket list, God forbid I dont get to number 10, coz am raring to go..... i want to see the world...not see the world the teenager style, where i carry my friends with me....i want to see the world...the me way, where i carry no friends,,,,,but return home with some, the world is at your feet! mama used to say...n you can be anything you wanne be...i just want to be me, live light, offload unhappy things, live like am dying, and experience the true test of freedom, which to me is your ability to pack your life in a ransack back n hit the road, knowing that everything you need is packed in a stash of memories....and some of us will pass through the world, to scared to do that...too comfortable to dare.....we all live..anyways:-)

Forgetting your passwords
This is not for me to help you, i need help, right now, am completelty out of touch guess what i forgot my phone pin number, lights were off in Kisumu jana and was expecting this important call, important here copuld mean anything from the person who was calling to what we wanted to talk about , so the desparate me borrows my cousin Pamela's phone switch the batteries phone goes off, i switch it on and walla, put in your pin, and that becomes the cue for my memory card in the brain to press DELETE at once, that is how monto oyo no mteja
Like I said the call was important, so i bought a Zain line, I got it, using it, but there is only one person who kows it exists , well i think now they are three my brother, and my girlfreind Jenanne, will wait till i get back to Mbita and just look for that little precious card Safaricom allows your pin number to be stuck too, which of course have not seen for months, but there is a necessity I will turn the house over for that
I got to be having a password forgetting illness, could it be true, I wonder
for my own peace of mind, class is done today, just one more tick on my list i still need to get down to that self appraisal stuff, i hope those who could enjoyed the sabbath day, those who have it kesho enjoy it the more, and for the rest of the human rest, live it,

Liars and serial liars
That is getting to me right now, people who say what they dont mean, people who dont accept their situations so they live the lives of other people, because they are so afraid of themselves, the real them, its crazy where do they learn it from, the tongue is like a sword the words it can emit, are capablel of cutting any one;s life short
In my life time I never met such people, but this time I did and I thank my praents for raising me to trust people, but I missed out on sniffing out the the one's i should not trust, the price is too high to pay you can imagine, breaks friendship, marriages, relations, families, and love ties, liars, and habitual liars as such should learn to stay out!!!!

Sexy side of life
Four year down the line, its like putting a book away after you have started reading , and coming back months later and it takes you back to the same world, only you have grown smarter huh Pretty cool if you ask me, growth has many definitions, is it in the physical, brain wise, maturity, family, friends, partying, marriage, children, boyfriends...now even i have serious problems in that department, oh i just fell off the wagon, is it the sexual wagon, the no boyfriend wagon, ....ahhhsh... wareva..or is it the i don't weigh 75kg anymore wagon, i teetoller, maybe i drink less wine, more beer, go to church more, to pubs less, hard to define growth in a substantial maniac way.....i don't live in the ghetto neither am in the suburbs, am in between or no where between, but whats, arms, legs, sheets......blah blah...am done, Al pick another book!

Even when we know it doesnt count
We still hang in there,
Hope is a good thing, but hope can also be a bad thing, its in hope that we keep on, but it is also in hope that we loose it all, it makes us fearless, brave for a new tomorrow, and scared of unknown things, but it also makes us accept the non acceptable, forgive the unforgivable and forget the unforgetable, we do it becase we hope for a better tomorrow, yesterday was just bad, yesterday he was just bad, yesterday she did not know, so tomorrow we hope will make them better people, spouses, sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, uncles, aunts, friends, loved ones, what we forget is that tomorrow is what we might never have, maybe the hope lives on but us we surely die, hoping for a better life on the riverbanks of Jordan
I hope you have a nice weekend!

World Aids Day:Cant happen to me perspective:

I guess here we are again
Marking another World Aids Day, so much must have happened since the last one, maybe one more person got tested, maybe one more person got infected, maybe one more person got affected, but indeed many more lives have changed, will be changed as the epidemic tears us apart, brings us together, in pain, in loss, and the good memories of loved ones.
But as we mark another one in 2010 I raise my glass to the women and men who have been the stories that we hear, the ones who have been strong enough to braze the fight, to be the face of the disease, to be the guinea pigs of trials in search of a cure, the one who have held the hope and the torch, for a light at the end of the tunnel, anf for those who have held their hands, in a journey that no one knows the burdens of the traveller....I salute those who have been strong to be tested, and still wake up and live positively, they are the unsung heroes of a life time
You have the chance to be a hero in this life time, chukua control; get tested

Fishy Friday
Somehow Mbita gets a little bit too hot especially with the luck of spots for a good funky Friday night, that wont be reason why am off to the city under the sun of this side of the lakem for me weekend classes have made sure am out here, its a breather from the low pace life in Mbita but by the end of the weekend am usually like i miss the water i miss the fish, i wanna go right back there
Good news today, is the Prime Mnister tomorrow will be commissioning the start of construction on the Mbita-Homabay road, isnt that such a blessing, have literally tried to drug some of my so called friends to Mbita, by invitation, a place to stay in, a boat ride, i gave up, guys please watch the news, so as not to ask me if you shoulod drive your nice car to mbita or hire one! Well have planned out how oftem am going to clean my house, on normal days i walk into dust because it is near the road, but now, prolly i should invest in a breathing mask, log into my ears everymorning and evening, a road hurray, i hope they start with the Mbita side, we could enjoy the road more, and earlier before the rest, my greatest fear is the self trained motorbike-rists, watch the roads more Mbitans...
Well Kisumu is silent, just started to rain a few minutes ago but stopped, its a Friday indeed, but the day of the month, isnt making my phone overring, adioz, enjoy your Friday, I will right now i will go for my ritual walk......

Market day
Well Thursday is a special day if you are in Mbita, for the folks its like an outing day, you to get some good supplies you got to be there in the morning, most retail koiosk keepers start off to the market quite early, to get the incoming fresh produce from the many suppliers most of them coming from outside the districtfor other folks, especially those who are working and would add to their weekly supplies, lunch time, and an early time off work to get to the market is more appropiate
for other folks, it is the time to take your sweet time, get onto your beautiful dress, put on some nice perfume, and put your best foot forward to the market, i wouldnt say it is the favourite spot to pick a guy from, but it provides you with a chance to see most of the folks you probably havent seen in the week due to work
Mbita is a hard place to date in, but if you do, the options are more open to creativity, alot of creativity indeed, that is something for another day, for now top up your groceries to last you till next Thursday, enjoy your day

Almost but not yet
Okay I got to admit for the last few days I just lost the link for attaching pictures to the posts in the blog,
however it has been raining alot in Mbita, we almost cold everyday you know we aint used to the temperature dropping down that bad, the other day it was rainstorm, and living so near the lake, dont get me wrong i do love the lakeside but the thunderstorm aint my cup of tea, so its officially 31st looking at my time, and we counting down the hour to New Years,
I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who had the time and chance to check out thjis blog, it aint the greatest on the blog street, but I sure do love coming here and once a while jotting down whats on my mind, and thank you for passing by
I toast to my family, my loved one, starting with my Mama, isnt she just the best thing to happen to me, the rest of the gang too coz without saying luv you guys
To friends who have been there, who have held me not only in the physical, but in the distant, on the phone, on email, seeing me through 2009, I thank you all guys, it has been 2009 because you were there
To loved ones who are gone with the wind, in the year 2009, God loved you more, and saw it best to call you home, so will He pluck us from the garden of the world, and we shall meet again
For those we are yet to meet, let them bring joy into our lives, making every past memorable, the present livable and the future hopeful
In the next 23hours of 2009 lets toast to a year, one more to be added to the list of years that we have had, every one of them counts......

Merry Christmas-Island Resort
Hey a very Merry Christmas to us all, and if you are in Mbita, am sure if you were out yesterday having some merry time, then rubbing shoulders with the police was not uncommon, I guess they are all taking Iteere's promise to keep us safe this christmas loud and true, well I hope your Christmas eve was great
a quite morning it is, but well for Mbitans, if you would like to go out there and just be with your fellow Islanders, Island resort is the place to be, am told, ave checked it out, the banners and stuff, some music, some beauty pageant, didnt know they still make up for good shows, but its in the menu.......and of course you know without saying some nice Benga or Ohangla music wont miss
Well i got to go, had a long night, dont ask what I was doing, but it was clean and straight, where ever you are this Christmas, its all about HIM, CHRIST, that is why human kind has set aside this day, may He be born in you, as we celebrate the Mass
